Robbery reward grows to $3,000

University officials now have tripled the original reward for information leading to the arrest of the persons involved in the armed robbery of The Bulldog Caf� that took place Oct. 8.

The reward is currently $3,000.

Two armed men entered the Bulldog Caf� in the Tate Student Center at 9p.m. Oct. 8, demanded money, brandished handguns and walked off with more than $9,000 in cash.

The suspects both were described as black males wearing blue jeans. One was between 5-feet-8-inches and 5-feet-10-inches and was wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt. The other suspect was reported as wearing a light-colored hooded sweatshirt.

Police Chief Chuck Horton said anyone around the area on the night of the robbery is urged to call the University Police at 542-2200.
