Four SGA tickets announced

Candidates for the Student Government Association’s president and vice president will be introduced to the student body today on the Tate Student Center stage.
The introductions are scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. and to last until 2 p.m.
The candidates were officially announced Tuesday night, and they began their campaigns by posting signs at midnight Tuesday.
Daniel Gardner, a junior from Decatur, is vying for the office of SGA president with Rebecca Rainiss, a sophomore from Bartow, as his running-mate.
Grant Galland, a junior from Cumming, also said he has hopes to become the next SGA president with Jeremy Echuck, a junior from Cumming as his vice president.
These two presidential tickets join two tickets from within SGA.
Latham Saddler, SGA Student Life Committee co-chair and a sophomore from Charlotte, N.C., is running for president with SGA Internal Affairs Committee Chair Ginny Barton, a junior from Chapin, S.C., as his running-mate.
SGA External Affairs Committee Chair Brendan Murphy, a sophomore from Forsyth County, also is running for president with SGA Minority Affairs Committee Chair Charlie Bailey, a sophomore from Pine Mountain, as his running-mate.
The presidential and vice presidential hopefuls will engage in a debate at 7 p.m. Feb. 6 in the Chapel.
Debates for senatorial candidates will be held at 8 p.m. Feb. 4.
Students will have the opportunity to choose their president, vice president and senatorial representatives Feb. 11 and 12 on OASIS.
