A lot of things are up in the air for pop rocker Kalen Nash. But that’s the life of a new artist trying to make it in the music business.

First off, he isn’t sure yet when his debut solo album will be released.

Six songs are finished on the 10-track album, but Nash hasn’t found a record label, so that could change.

Ideally, he said he’d like to have an album released next fall, but it will probably be January.

He doesn’t even have a demo or single to be sold at his shows yet, but his first single, “Anthem of Love,” is now available for download on iTunes. He said he hopes to have something available at a later show.

Of course, some diehard fans already know a lot of his songs from attending his shows and listening to them on MySpace.

“It was crazy when I played ‘Anthem of Love’ – everybody was singing along,” he said of his last show at Georgia Theatre, which drew a couple hundred people.

“I think the fanbase in Athens is steadily growing,” he said.
