Grad. English 2nd program in nation
The Faculty Scholarly Productivity Index has ranked the University’s graduate English department No. 2 in the nation, outranking top Ivy Leagues, including Columbia, Cornell, Harvard and Yale.
Princeton University tops the list.
The index, produced by non-profit company Academic Analytics, studies the number of book and journal articles published by each program’s faculty, journal citations, awards, honors and grants received, the Chronicle of Higher Education reported.
More than 7,000 doctoral programs in the nation were reviewed.
WUOG hopes to add podcasts
WUOG’s new student leaders are looking to extend the station’s influence as the University’s radio station through digital media and podcasting.
“WUOG wants to keep up with the 21st century with the mission to expose college students to alternative music in a format that is appealing and accessible,” said Ed Mirecki, associate director of student affairs.
The Digital Archive Director will research how the station can utilize technology and the web to adapt to students’ use of iPods and MP3 players on campus.
