The following accounts were taken from Athens-Clarke County and University Police reports:

April 26

 A University student was arrested and charged with three felony counts of possession of a weapon on campus and three felony counts of possession of a controlled substance, among other charges.

A University Police officer was patrolling East Campus Road in front of the Oconee Hills Housing lot at 10:24 p.m. when he saw three males smoking.

One of the males turned his back when he noticed the officer. It appeared to the officer that he was trying to conceal what he was smoking.

The officer smelled an odor of burnt marijuana when he made contact with the three males.

After subsequent investigation, University student Nolan Dipak Shah was arrested and charged with a felony count of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, three felony counts of possession of a weapon on school property, three felony counts of possession of a controlled substance, a felony count of possession of a dangerous drug, a misdemeanor count of possession of drug related objects and a misdemeanor count of possession of drugs not in the original container.

Christopher Chad Doster, a visitor, was arrested and charged with a misdemeanor count of possession of marijuana and barred from all University property for two years for drug activity.

The other male, also a visitor, was barred from all University property for two years for drug activity.

April 27

 University Police saw several individuals at the Phi Delta Theta fraternity house smoking out of a multi-colored glass pipe.

An officer patrolling the area saw them smoking through a corner window.

He also noted he could “smell a faint odor of burning marijuana coming from the window.”

Three individuals were identified at the scene and the glass smoking pipe was taken into evidence. No one was arrested.

April 28

 A University student reported his 2002 Nissan Xterra missing to ACC Police.

William Holt told police he parked it in his apartment complex at 1 a.m. on Saturday and he thought he locked it. When he returned to the parking lot at 8:30 a.m., it was not there.

Police found the vehicle overturned and burned in Oconee County.
