The following unrelated incidents were reported by the Athens-Clarke County police department:
Steven Matthew Wilt was arrested and charged with intoxication in front of Pitaya on 282 East Clayton Street at 2:40 a.m. on Oct. 5. He struck one of the store’s windows with his fist and then kicked another window. He told a police officer he had argued with a friend.
Kerry Creast was issued a noise ordinance violation at Beta Theta Pi on 224 South Milledge Avenue 2 a.m. on Oct. 5. He played loud music from his vehicle, and told the officer he just wanted to show the power of his speakers to his friends.
Mark Jay Sayers was issued a noise ordinance violation at Sigma Pi on 247 South Milledge Avenue at 11:45 p.m. on Oct. 4. The officer wrote in the report that he was able to hear the music at the entrance to Clarke Central High School Sayers said the fraternity had just bought new speakers and didn’t realize how powerful they were.
Martavious Carlton Owens was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and a criminal trespass warning at Athens Gardens at 10 p.m. on Oct. 4. An officer stopped him while looking for a suspect and saw the marijuana in the console of the car. He was barred from Athens Gardens for two years.
James Edgar McManemon was arrested and charged with underage possession at Vine and Herring streets at 3 a.m. on Oct. 6. He flagged down an officer while standing in the middle of the road at the intersection. He said he was scared and wanted to go home. The officer saw that he was visibly swaying and asked if he has been drinking.
A theft occurred at Oak and Oconee streets between 10:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. on Oct. 5. Ruben Jacobo-Rubio reported a $150 bike and a $100 bike stolen. He said he a female were riding when struck by a car and left the bikes to go to the hospital. When they returned, the bikes were gone.
A theft occurred at No Where Bar on 240 North Lumpkin Street at 1 a.m. on Oct. 5. Jamey Goldin said a $200 cell phone was stolen. When he called number his number, a male answered and they agreed to meet on Grove Street. Goldin arrived with friends, and the male got scared and drove away. Goldin reported a description.
The following unrelated incidents were reported by the UGA police department:
David Brent McAllister was arrested and charged with underage possession at Creswell Hall at 8:20 p.m. on Oct. 4.
Emily Layne Anderson was arrested and charged with underage possession at Brumby Hall at 3:50 a.m. on Oct. 5.
Kirk Allen Davis was arrested and charged with underage possession at Russell Hall at 5 a.m. on Oct. 5.
An entering auto occurred at the lower Russell Lot between 12:30 p.m. on Oct. 3 and 7:50 a.m. on Oct. 4. A male student reported a $1200 laptop, $600 GPS, $200 MP3 player and $100 cable stolen.
An entering auto occurred at the West Parking Deck between 9:30 p.m. on Oct. 3 and noon on Oct. 4. A female student reported a $230 iPod and adapter stolen.
A criminal trespass occurred at Russell Hall at 3:15 p.m. on Oct. 3. A wall was damaged.
There was a report of the smell of marijuana smoke at Creswell Hall at 8:20 p.m. on Oct. 4. Police reported to the scene, but no one was found or arrested.
A rape and battery occurred between midnight on Aug. 1 and midnight on Oct. 2. A female student reported she was raped once and beat on several occasions by a person known to her in East Village Commons.
The following unrelated arrests were reported in the Clarke County Sheriff’s Office booking log:
Kristen Ashley Fitzgerald, 21, was arrested and charged with intoxication. She was booked at 11:45 p.m. on Oct. 4.
Zachary Phillip Haas, 23, was arrested and charged with intoxication and disorderly conduct. He was booked at 2:30 a.m. on Oct. 5.
Brandon Brooks Miller, 21, was arrested and charged with intoxication. He was booked at 2:50 a.m. on Oct. 5.
Steven Matthew Wilt, 23, was arrested and charged with intoxication. He was booked at 3:45 a.m. on Oct. 5.
Whitney Reva Canup, 23, was arrested and charged with failure to yield at right of way and driving under the influence of alcohol. She was booked at 9 p.m. on Oct. 5. Canup is an assistant manager for retail food sales for Chick-fil-A food services on campus.
Jason Zhengxin Hao, 21, was arrested and charged with speeding and suspended license. He was booked at 6 p.m. on Oct. 5.
Eli John O’Quinn, 21, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, underage possession and speeding. He was booked at 6:22 p.m. on Oct. 5.
Rebecca Leigh Rose, 22, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and improper driving. She was booked at 5:55 a.m. on Oct. 6.
Mathieu Van Asten, 19, was arrested and charged with two felony counts of false imprisonment, terroristic threats and acts, battery and two counts of simple battery. He was booked at 9:17 p.m. on Oct. 5.
Matthew White Womack, 21, was arrested and charged with improper driving and driving under the influence of alcohol. He was booked at 5:18 a.m. on Oct. 6.
Jennifer Marie Pisczak, 19, was arrested and charged with underage possession of alcohol. She was booked at 3:50 a.m. on Oct. 7.
Nicholas Michael Schemmel, 19, was arrested and charged with underage possession of alcohol. He was booked at 3:25 a.m. on Oct. 7.
Stella Rebecca Smith, 24, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. She was booked at 3:25 a.m. on Oct. 6.
Alexander West Speight, 19, was arrested and charged with underage possession of alcohol, wrong way on a one-way road and open container. He was booked at 5:22 a.m. on Oct. 7.
Paul Richard Temple, 18, was arrested and charged with possession of ID without consent and underage possession of alcohol. He was booked at 3:30 a.m. on Oct. 7.
Mark Robert Thiel, 19, was arrested and charged with underage possession of alcohol. He was booked at 1:15 a.m. on Oct. 7.
William Caleb Wellmaker, 20, was arrested and charged with criminal trespass and underage possession of alcohol. He was booked at 2:18 a.m. on Oct. 7.
Maren Clarke White, 20, was arrested and charged with underage possession of alcohol, improper driving and driving under the influence of alcohol. She was booked at 6:20 a.m. on Oct. 7.
