University Union has a number of Homecoming festivities of its own this week:

 A block party Wednesday at Legion Field from 3 to 7 p.m. is one of the bigger events, said Santrice Jones, University Union’s homecoming coordinator. Performances will feature Tap Dawgs and the Red Hotz.

 Downtown will host a parade Friday at 6 p.m.

“This year’s grand marshal will be Larry Munson,” Jones said.

 The final event is the Homecoming court crowning Saturday at Sanford Stadium. Voting for this year’s king and queen begins today and ends Friday at 4 p.m.
