Georgia linebacker Rennie Curran was booked into the Athens-Clarke County jail Monday afternoon and charged with theft by taking.
Curran was released on $1,500 bond from Confidential Bonding at 7:07 p.m. Monday. The charge stems from a warrant the University Police took out on Curran last week.
The warrant sought Curran for taking a parking boot worth $350 between 8 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. from Herty Drive on Oct. 9. He moved his scooter to his dorm after it was fitted with a boot for unpaid parking tickets.
Curran played a key role in Saturday’s win against Florida, stopping the Gators on a key fourth and two play in the fourth quarter with Georgia holding a 28-24 lead.
