The following unrelated incidents were reported by the Athens-Clarke County police department:
William Zachary Smith was issued at noise ordinance violation at River’s Edge on 200 Sycamore Drive at 4:15 a.m. on Nov. 30. The police officer said he could “hear Kenny Chesney playing 100 feet away.” Smith told the officer he would turn the music down and had turned it up while he was in the shower.
Devan Desai, 18, was arrested and charged with false name on license, open container and underage possession of alcohol at Wall and Broad streets at 1:25 a.m. on Nov. 30. The doorman didn’t let him in, and a police officer later saw Desai leaning against a wall with an open beer in his jacket.
Kaitlyn Elizabeth Szekalski, 18, was arrested and charged with possession ID without consent and underage possession of alcohol at Bourbon Street bar on 333 East Broad Street at 2 a.m. on Nov. 30. The doorman didn’t let her in, and the police officer spoke with her because there was no hologram on her ID.
Taylor Jason Bergman, 18, was charged with underage possession of alcohol on 2275 Milledge Avenue at 3:15 a.m. on Dec. 1. The police officer heard loud music and drove up to see Bergman place something on the ground. When he approached Bergman, he saw it was a bottle of whiskey. He asked Bergman to get the president of the fraternity, and the officer explained the noise ordinance to vice president Charles Thomas McConnell.
James Powell Wearn, 19, Arkodeb Sarkar Maity, 19, and John Colvin Tait, 19, were arrested and charged with underage possession of alcohol at 355 Riverbend Parkway at 2:05 a.m. on Dec. 1. Wearn was also charged with a noise ordinance violation. When an officer approached the apartment, several people yelled “Police!” and ran inside. The officer knocked several times, and Wearn opened the door. There were 15 people in the living room, and the three males were arrested. Maity was located in a closet.
Joshua Paul Cody was issued a noise ordinance violation at 1 a.m. on Dec. 1 at Milledge Place Apartments on 2165 Milledge Avenue. The officer could hear the music 600 feet away and asked Cody to turn it down.
A theft occurred at Buddha Bar on 431 East Broad Street between 11 p.m. on Nov. 29 and 2 a.m. on Nov. 30. Kathryn Visscher said her wallet with cash, a license and a debit card was stolen from a purse she hung on the back of a chair.
The following unrelated incidents were reported by the UGA police department:
A theft occurred at Sigma Delta Tau between 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. on Nov. 28. A female student said her wallet and contents were stolen.
A theft occurred at Kappa Alpha between 2:30 a.m. and 4:30 a.m. on Dec. 1. A male student said his $1230 laptop and case were stolen.
Tyler Jackson Seery, 19, was arrested and charged with possession of ID without consent, possession one ounce of marijuana, underage possession of alcohol, pedestrian under the influence and giving false information at East Broad and Hickory streets at 12:46 a.m. on Dec. 1.
Jason Forrest Chaliff was arrested and charged with underage possession in the Sigma Chi lot at 2:08 a.m. on Dec. 1.
Megan Rose Clayton was arrested and charged with underage possession at Brumby Hall at 3 a.m. on Dec. 1.
Patrick Francis Pallotta, 19, was arrested and charged with underage possession of alcohol and possession of fake ID on Lumpkin Street at 3:27 a.m. on Dec. 1.
Abby Katherine Conway, 19, was arrested and charged with underage possession of alcohol at Creswell Hall at 1:30 a.m. on Dec. 2.
Benjamin Francis Fletcher, 27, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence and no headlights on Broad and Pulaski streets at 11:35 p.m. on Dec. 2.
A theft occurred at the Student Learning Center between 2:30 p.m. on Nov. 20 and 8:50 a.m. on Dec. 3. A male student reported his bicycle, helmet and lock stolen.
A theft occurred in Memorial Hall between midnight and 2 a.m. on Dec. 1. A female student reported her cell phone, credit card and driver’s license stolen.
A female student reported harassing phone calls in Reed Hall between 5:06 a.m. and 5:20 a.m. on Dec. 4.
The following unrelated arrests were reported in the Clarke County Sheriff’s Office booking log:
William J. Liu, 22, was arrested and charged with reckless driving and driving under the influence of alcohol. He was booked at 3:35 a.m. on Nov. 30.
Perry Todd Barnett, 41, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct. He was booked at 8:17 p.m. on Nov. 30. Barnett is a North Campus custodial worker.
Jorfre Oscar Leon, 21, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, laying drag and underage possession of alcohol. He was booked at 6:15 p.m. on Nov. 30. Leon is a clerk in the Terry College dean’s office.
Jeffrey Lee Lord, 20, was arrested and charged with improper use of mobile phone and no proof of insurance. He was booked at 2:14 p.m. on Dec. 1.
Mark Herman Manderson, 20, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. He was booked at 5:12 p.m. on Nov. 30.
Patrick Francis Pallotta, 19, was arrested and charged with underage possession of alcohol and possession of ID without consent. He was booked at 6:15 a.m. on Dec. 1.
Cuyler James Repine, 20, was arrested and charged with underage possession of alcohol. He was booked at 3 a.m. on Dec. 1.
Emily Suzanne Hambright, 21, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. She was booked at 9:20 a.m. on Dec. 3.
Garrett Lawson Lotane, 21, was arrested and charged with public indecency. He was booked at 8:36 p.m. on Dec. 2.
Erik Theodore Heintz, 18, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and improper driving. He was booked at 9:46 a.m. on Dec. 2.
Tam Thanh Tran, 27, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence and improper driving. He was booked at 9 a.m. on Dec. 2.
