Exposing genitals gets student jailed

Some people get a thrill from roller coasters, others from near-death experiences. For one University student, it’s exposing his genitals.
Garrett Lawson Lotane, 21, told police he committed “lewd acts because (he) felt a rush of adrenaline.” He was arrested and charged with public indecency at Target Saturday.
According to the police report:
Two Athens-Clarke County Police officers spoke with a 32-year-old woman who said a man exposed his genitals to her at the Atlanta Highway store at 7:30 p.m. She identified Lotane as the one who confronted her.
Lotane was arrested for a similar incident this summer.
He was charged with public indecency for exposing his genitals to a University alumna while at Kroger on College Station Road on June 5, according to an ACC arrest warrant.
When the officers arrested Lotane Saturday, he said he wasn’t sure if he was exposing himself. Lotane asked if he could check his pants, and when he lifted his shirt his pants were unzipped.
Lotane was issued a criminal trespass warning for Target, and he was transported to the Athens-Clarke County Jail.
He made the comment about his adrenaline rush on the way to the jail, and Officer S. Wang recorded the comment, according to the report.
