 Struggle for a living wage. Tzedek, UGA Hillel’s social justice and philanthropy student group, will host an event discussing University campus workers’ living wage. Campus workers are expected to attend to explain poverty issues directly. 7:30 p.m. 153 SLC.

 College Republicans political career panel. The panel features Mark Rountree, president of Landmark Communications; Michael Paris, president of the Council on Quality Growth; Wes Fugate, former deputy chief of staff to Governor Fletcher of Kentucky, serving as an adviser on High Education Policy and led the governor’s scheduling department; and Jay Walker, former chief of staff to Speaker of the House Bill Richardson and is currently serving as a consultant to numerous Georgia election campaigns. 7 p.m. 304 Caldwell Hall.  Student Alumni Council open enrollment has begun. SAC members act as a liaison between University students and alumni. Members help with Student Alumni Association initiatives on campus as well. The applications will be available online at www.uga.edu/alumni until March 31 at 5 p.m. Interviews will take place the week of April 7.  Team Captains’ Meeting. Sponsored by University Relay For Life. Relay For Life 2008 is less than six weeks away. All team captains are asked to attend the meeting to find out about upcoming events and fundraisers. An interactive forum led by experts on sustainability discuss the power of the individual in affecting environmental change.  Edith House Lecture: Freedom and Justice for Some. Sponsored by the Women Law Students Association and the School of Law. Shirley M. Hufstedler, the first U.S. Secretary of Education, presents the lecture to honor the first female law graduate from the University, Edith House. She discusses available federal judicial review for prisoners held at Guantanamo Bay.
