Crimewatch Deluxe Jan. 16-29

The following were reported by the UGA Police Department:

Eric Dellinger reported a theft by taking from the Physics building on Jan. 27 between 8:30 and 10:30 a.m. A $200 Dyna Kraft bicycle and helmet were taken.

A University student reported an entering auto on Jan. 27 at 4:18 p.m. from the Butts-Mehre parking lot. A $650 navigation/DVD unit was stolen.

A University employee reported a hit and run at the intersection of College Station and East Campus Road on Jan. 26 at 7:00 a.m.

A University employee reported damage to the roof of her vehicle on Hooper Street n Jan. 26 between 8:00 a.m. and 5:15 p.m.

A University employee reported an entering auto at the Chicopee Complex on Jan. 26 between 12:00 and 5:00 p.m. A GPS and some clothing was stolen, totaling a $540 in value, was stolen.

Catherine Autumn McBride, 20, was arrested and charged with DUI Alcohol, failure to maintain lane, underage possession of alcohol and fake identification on Riverbend Road at 12:17 a.m. on Jan. 24.

Paul Dongwoo Kang, 20, was arrested and charged with DUI Alcohol, failure to maintain lane and underage possession of alcohol on Riverbend Road at 2:33 a.m. on Jan. 24.

Micah Lee Bringman, 20, was arrested and charged with DUI Alcohol, failure to maintain lane, underage possession of alcohol and fake identification on Riverbend Road at 12:17 a.m. on Jan. 25.

Chad Christopher Ferdon, 35, was arrested and charged with DUI Alcohol and failure to maintain lane at the Georgia Center at 1:21 a.m. on Jan. 25.

University employee Quadrika Natasha Starks, 18, was arrested and charged with improper turn and unlicensed driving in front of the former Visual Arts building on Jan. 23 at 10:03 a.m.

Brandon Tibor Zsolnay, 29, was arrested and charged with DUI Alcohol, failure to maintain lane and driving without a license. He was arrested at Sanford Drive at 3:43 a.m. on Jan. 21.

Justin Michael Sales, 23, was arrested and charged with DUI Alcohol and improper turn on Oconee Street at 1:45 a.m. on Jan. 25.

A Snelling dining hall employee reported a theft by taking on Jan. 22 between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. A $200 iPod was stolen.

Warrants were issued for University employee Cassandra Tate on theft by taking and felony financial transaction fraud charges on Jan. 22.

A burglary was reported at Aderhold Hall between 3:30 p.m. on Jan. 20 and 1:30 p.m. on Jan. 21. A $5,900 Crestron control panel was stolen.

The following were reported by the Athens-Clarke County Police Department:

University student Drake Wilson McCauley reported a burglary at Northview Place Apartments on Jan. 27 between 4:45 and 5:45 p.m. The following was stolen: a $500 black Playstation 3, a $50 black game controller, a $60 video game, and an Entourage DVD valued at $30. McCauley had forgotten to lock his door. Other electronics in the area- two laptops and a wide screen television- were untouched.

Graduate student Robert Charles Giannini reported a theft by taking on Sunset Drive on Jan. 27 between 1 and 9 a.m. A 2006 scooter was stolen. The scooter was not locked and the victim retains the keys.

Robert Davis reported an entering auto in College Park Apartments between 10:30 p.m. on Jan. 25 and 10 a.m. on Jan. 26. A $60 radar detector was stolen. There were no signs of forced entry, though Davis said the car was locked. There were other values in the car that were not stolen including a radio/CD player,

University student Jonathan D. Arnold reported a burglary attempt on Knottingham Drive on Jan. 26 between 1:29 and 1:34 p.m. The suspect came in through n unsecured window in the carport. Arnold was in the house at the time and, upon hearing the suspect, yelled “wrong house!”

David Russel reported criminal damage to property at the SAE house on Jan. 23 at 1:35 a.m. A $4,000 50-inch flat screen Sony television was smashed and/or punched.

Depree West reported lost property at 80s bar between 11 p.m. on Jan. 23 and 4 a.m. on Jan. 24. A $2,000 Louis Vuitton brown, identification, credit cards and house keys were lost.

Gianna Keiko Rankart, 21, was arrested and charged with DUI Alcohol and headlights. She was booked at 3:02 a.m. on Jan. 22.

Christopher Hallett Van Rossem, 21, was arrested and charged with public intoxication and disorderly conduct at Bourbon Street Bar at 12:31 a.m. on Jan. 23.

Paul Edwards Petersen, 20, was arrested and charged with underage possession of alcohol, public intoxication, pedestrian in roadway and pedestrian under the influence on Hancock Avenue on Jan. 23.

Hayes Rogers Fairchild, 28, was charged was charged with three felony counts Obtaining
Prescription by Fraudulent Means. He was arrested at Rite Aid Drugs, 1190 Prince Ave., after he attempted to obtain drugs with forged prescriptions. He was booked at 11:37 a.m. on Jan. 22.

Abigail Claire Derr, 19, was arrested and charged with DUI Alcohol, underage consumption of alcohol and improper driving on the corner of Prince and Pulaski on Jan. 23 between 3:15 and 4:20 a.m. She blew a .098 and .095.

Alex Ross Stein, 18, was arrested and charged with underage possession of alcohol and urinate/deficate on public property. He was booked at 3:08 a.m. on Jan. 24.

Luke Anthony Walker, 19, was arrested and charged with underage possession of alcohol. He was booked at 3:24 a.m. on Jan. 24.

University maintenance worker William Raleigh Woodroof, 30, was arrested and charged with intoxication on Jan. 23 between 5:15 and 5:21 a.m.

Steven James Lee and Clinton Tyler Burkes reported a criminal damage to property on Jan. 24 between 12:01 a.m. and 5 a.m. at The Lodge of Athens apartments. Two $250 Bridgestone SUV tires and two $250 Toyota SUV tires were slashed.

Selcuk Tekin reported a burglary on Jan. 24 between 9 p.m. and 10:35 p.m at Cross Creek Apartments. A $150 Logitec webcam and a gray $350 Sony digital camera were stolen. Tekin lost his keys several weeks before in an unknown location.

Jason Lawrence Axelrod, 19, was arrested and charged with underage possession of alcohol and public urination on Jan. 25 between 1:37 and 1:45 a.m. on Broad Street. The arresting officer saw Axelrod urinating in an alley. Axelrod claimed he was 21 but dispatch confirmed he was not.

Former University student Asher Allen reported a burglary from St. Andrews apartments between 12:00 p.m. on Jan. 1 and 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 21. A $400 19-inch Toshiba flatscreen televsion black with DVD player and a white $300 Nintendo game system were stolen. Police recovered the items from an earlier suspicious person’s call.

Students Jill Henderson and Christie Davis reported a burglary at Wesley Methodist Church and Student Center 11:30 p.m. Jan. 21 and 8 a.m. on Jan. 22. A $250 black iPod nano, a silver 60G iPod and a black Samsonite backpack were stolen.
