The Georgia club women’s lacrosse team isn’t afraid of a little rain.
But that may not matter if the Georgia Athletic Department won’t let them use the football team’s turf practice field this weekend as the lacrosse team tries to host its A-Town Throwdown tournament this weekend.

That was the collective sigh of relief from the Georgia women’s basketball program.
Mired in the worst slump of the Hall-of-Fame coach’s career, the Lady Bulldogs (16-12, 6-7 SEC) topped the Kentucky Wildcats (14-14, 4-9 SEC) 61-57 Thursday night in Lexington, Ky.

The numbers don’t agree with the Georgia men’s basketball team going into Fayetteville and swiping a win from Arkansas Sunday. The Bulldogs are 0-6 on the road in the Southeastern Conference and 1-10 for the season in games played in gyms not named Stegeman Coliseum.
Freshman tennis player accumulates honors

It’s hard to imagine where the Georgia football team would have been this season without the contributions of freshmen All-SEC players A.J. Green and Ben Jones.
The same goes for the No. 2-ranked Georgia women’s tennis team, which boasts a freshman who has quietly strung together a solid first year.
