Georgia’s Schlopy selected to USA Softball Japan Cup Team

Georgia’s Taylor Schlopy was selected to the USA Softball Japan Cup Team according to an announcement made by the Amateur Softball Association of America on Monday.

The ASA announced three teams that will represent the USA Softball Women’s National team program during the 2009 summer season. The three teams were chosen following a selection camp held last week in Chula Vista, Calif.

The 2009 USA Softball Japan Cup team will compete at the Japan Cup in Sendai, Japan, July 31- Aug.2. Leading the team will be head coach Miller and assistant coaches Suzy Brazney, Chuck D’Arcy and Jordan.

Katie Burkhart – San Luis Obispo, Calif.
Stacie Chambers – Glendale, Az.
Ashley Charters – Beaverton, Ore.
Jennie Finch – La Mirada, Calif.
Alissa Haber – Newark, Calif.
Molly Johnson – Tucson, Az.
Lauren Lappin – Anaheim, Calif.
Brittany Lastrapes – Laguna Niguel, Calif.
Jenae Leles – Fair Oaks, Calif.
Stacey Nelson – Los Alamitos, Calif.
Amber Patton – Forsyth, Ill.
Brittany Rogers – Dacula, Ga.
Taylor Schlopy – West Hills, Calif.
Natasha Watley – Irvine, Calif.
