Milner turns himself in to ACC police
Gene Whitner Milner III, a recent University graduate who was sought by UGA Police on one felony false imprisonment warrant and one misdemeanor battery warrant, turned himself in to the Athens Clarke County Jail Sunday afternoon.
Milner, 23, was booked on felony false imprisonment and misdemeanor battery at 12:12 p.m. Sunday. He was released on $7,000 bond Monday morning.
Milner was identified as a suspect during the course of the investigation stemming from an incident in which an 18-year-old Clemson University student told police he was held against his will and assaulted in the basement of the Chi Phi fraternity. The warrants were issued on Friday.
Milner, 23, has been in trouble with Athens-Clarke County Police in the past, having faced several drug and alcohol related charges. In January 2006, a Clarke County court banned Milner from Athens-Clarke County and placed him on six months probation. Three weeks later he was charged as part of an investigation into the death of University student Lewis Fish, who died in his Russell Hall dorm room from an overdose of alcohol, cocaine and heroin. The charges against Milner in that case were dropped.

Gabriel Seyoung Choi, 19, and James Oh, 19, were booked in the Athens Clarke County Jail Friday afternoon at 1:10 p.m. after a search of their apartment Friday morning.
