PICK OF THE WEEK: GEORGIA SOFTBALL’S RED AND BLACK SHOWCASE
The No. 6 ranked Georgia softball team starts its third annual showcase Saturday with a double header against Virginia Tech  at 2:30 p.m. and Bowling Green at 5:45 p.m. With a 3-1 game streak, the Bulldogs will try to take on three teams, including Western Carolina. The Bulldogs started the season at No. 7 and with a a win against No. 3 ranked Michigan in Saturday’s National Collegiate Softball Invitational.  With veteran Sarah McCloud named SEC pitcher of the week, the Bulldogs should pull easy wins over their opponents. McCloud pitched four strikeouts, a hit and a walk in a Saturday game against Central Florida. The showcase ends Sunday with a game against Winthrop. Tickets are free and all games will be held at the Softball Complex on 2330 S. Milledge Avenue.
