Georgia’s Russell Henley has been named the Southeastern Conference Golfer of the Week, according to an announcement Thursday by the league office.

Henley, a junior from Macon, claimed medalist honors and led Georgia to the team title at the Charleston Shootout at The Links at Stono Ferry in Hollywood, S.C., on Monday.

Henley recorded a 9-under 207 with three straight loops of 3-under 69. He won for the second time this season and for the fourth time in his career.

Led by Henley, the Bulldogs posted a 20-shot victory over College of Charleston. Georgia finished at 18-under 846 – the third-best figure in school history – for its first win of the season.

Henley and the Bulldogs will return to action March 12-14 in the Southern Highlands Collegiate in Las Vegas.
