Animal crushing should be illegal

By on July 27, 2010

As a former University student long ago in the mid-1960s, I feel it incumbent to voice my feelings concerning a situation that voting University students in the 10th District will face this November.

U.S. Rep. Paul Broun, a figment of the extreme right wing, was one of only three members of the U.S. House to cast a “no” vote on a matter that was passed by a bipartisan majority of 416 votes. Broun, along with Tom Graves of Georgia’s 9th District and Ron Paul of Texas’ 14th District, voted to allow ‘crush videos’ of kittens and puppies to remain legal under federal law.

These are videos where women literally crush small animals to death with their feet, giving the most excruciating torture one could imagine.

These videos appeal only to an audience of sociopaths who are highly likely to go on to molest, torture and murder women and children. We can only wonder where Broun’s mind is at and if he enjoys this sort of “entertainment.”

In the 10th District you have a progressive by the name of Russell Edwards running against Broun.

I would advise that you cast your vote in the context of living in a civilized society.
