PICK OF THE WEEK: POPFEST
After taking a year off, Athens Popfest is back in full force, and it’s an indie-music lovers dream. Headlining the five-day festival are Boston legends Mission of Burma (above) and England’s The Wedding Present, two of the most influential indie bands of all time. Throw in the reunion of California’s Go Sailor, Apples In Stereo, Joe Jack Talcum of the Dead Milkmen and the Circulatory System, and you have enough musical cred to last the rest of your days.
