Love addiction can be cured through Christ
I wanted to offer another perspective on the topic of the “love addiction” in our culture. In the article “Students must break their love addictions” (Jan. 26), Anita George made some great points about how we treat the concept of love and relationships. This is evidenced, as she pointed out, in various media outlets.
We are indeed starved for real love. I believe there is one way to fill this gap in our hearts and lives. Each person was made to worship and love the Son of God, Jesus Christ. Along the way, many have forsaken God for temporary substitutes. These may be girlfriends and boyfriends, friendships, career pursuits or other passions, but they all have this in common: the thrill has an expiration date.
However, when we accept the true love of Christ, we will become completely whole.
