The UGA police have vehicles they use during special events like football game days, when regularly used cars are not able to navigate crowded streets and pathways. ALLISON LOVE/Staff

If you’ve been walking around campus on game day, you’ve probably seen a few all-terrain vehicles cruising North Campus. Aron White arrived on campus ready to fight. A long way from his hometown of Columbia, Mo., White arrived in Athens as one of the top-rated tight end prospects in the class of 2007. “50/50”

I cried for an hour after leaving the theater. In my defense, how could you not feel a little upset when the loveable main character of “50/50,” Adam Lerner (Joseph Gordon-Levitt), fights a battle with cancer. I walked in expecting to see another Seth Rogen comedy that might be a tinsy bit sad due to [...]

President Obama’s re-election uncertain I can not help but make some polite corrections to Will Petty’s column (“Obama shouldn’t worry while the Republicans are on parade,” Sept. 27). First, by most reasonable measures, Mitt Romney, and not Rick Perry, is the frontrunner in the GOP field. As of Sept. 28, the futures market on Intrade.com [...]

The term artificial intelligence brings to mind images of sci-fi robots automatically cooking us breakfast or perhaps plotting to take over the world. Studying the subject might seem like territory exclusive to the fields of mathematics and computer science. In this semester’s Introduction to Artificial Intelligence class, however, you’re likely to find students of an [...]
