I disagree with William McVay’s opinion piece in Wednesday’s R&B, I don’t think that allowing students to have concealed weapons on college campuses will make anyone safer. The addition of concealed weapons to college campuses will be like a match to a powder keg.

Violence on campus less likely with concealed guns I agree with the House Bill 615 to allow concealed weapons on college campuses. The point Tim Bearden brings up is a valid one. People who plan on ignoring the law anyways to kill or rob, are going to be carrying guns, sometimes merely for intimidation or with an idea to actually execute using them.

Concealed weapons on college campuses dangerous What kind of place did I move to? I read the article on House Bill 615 on the front page Monday and my first thought was “Thats so ridiculous! I’m going to write a letter.” I’ve said that a lot, but this is the first time I’ve followed through.

Long live the Reformed Church of Kris Kringle! In response to Adreana Rickett’s letter, I am brought close to tears due to her blatant and merciless intolerance toward my church. My congregants and I, of the Reformed Church of Kringle, have been desperately attempting to spread the gospel of the Great White Beard, colloquially known as Santa Claus.

Meaning of Christmas in Christ, not in Santa Claus In response to Megan Otto’s article “The commercialized culture of Christmas,” I have a few things to say. I do not know Megan’s religious background and this is not intended to be a preachy response to an eye-opening article, but Megan’s response to the commercialization of Christmas was very troubling.

Words of encouragement for departed football coach Dear Mr. [Willie] Martinez, While many of my friends and peers seem to be reveling in your dismissal, I offer you words of encouragement. I am sad that it didn’t work out between you and the UGA fan base, but I know that this means you are on your way to bigger and better things.

A simple reminder of proper etiquette in the dining halls Dear dining hall patrons, Over the months, I’ve served and cleaned up after you – much like a mother to her spoiled children – and subsequently made a list of dining hall etiquette rules that should be easy to respect.
