Univ. alters ticket pick-up

Abstract:
After last year's chaos when students tried to get their football tickets, the Athletic Board of Directors released a new ticket-claiming policy for the 2007 season.

The new system includes a staggered pick-up process.

Students who have completed 90 or more UGA credit hours may collect their tickets Monday, Aug....

It seems like this is a pretty good idea from the athletic administration, but it still looks like that you aren't going to be able to avoid long lines, esp. when freshmen pick up tickets, unless there are more than 2 ticket boths open (a problem last year). I think a better idea would be to have the seats assigned when students sign up with the new online system - that way you could break it down by sections on pick up day. More boths and more ways to break up the tickets (sections, in other words) is what will lead to shorter lines and no missed class/work. Or, you could just do it on a Sunday afternoon, when there is NO class and fewer people work.....but that just makes sense.

Oh - and the person that wrote this article is obviously one of sophisticated talent and experise. Best R&B article I ever read! Give this woman a raise!
