Univ. stresses safety to all students

Abstract:
As we go through college, some of us may feel nervous about the dangers of being on our own. In order to combat this anxiety, the University police department has been taking steps to help make the campus safer for students. If the UGA Police wants to enhance safety may be they should stop driving away experianced officers to other agencies. The UGA police has a huge turn over rate, the average patrol officer has almost no real street experiance. Also, a few years ago UGA Police would patrol with 6 police cars now they only use 4 cars on patrol at one time meaning less officers out on campus.
