I can't wait for the football fanatics to come out of the woodwork (or dawghouse as it were) to support this drunkard. We all know that you only refuse a breathalyzer test if you have been drinking. Plus, he's underage!

Coach Richt should follow the great leadership example set recently by Urban Meyer and remove Boling from the team.

Of course, with the Offensive Line being such a concern this year and Boling being a returning starter I am sure that he'll only have to run a few extra laps after practice.

What a joke.

Wow....a (presumably) Gator fan attempting to preach to us about setting a disciplinary example on the football team.

Are these Gators that you love the same bunch that get caught up in gun fights, are caught breaking into impound lots, and using dead girls' credit cards? Oh yeah...I do believe they are.

Haven't seen CUM do much to discipline his boys...he could start by disciplining himself for those recruiting violations that he committed by calling recruits in the dead period.

BC and Steve: Two tools in the box, neither one very sharp.

Tisk, tisk.

This is total garbage. Could it be that, maybe, possibly, the cops got this wrong and maybe, possibly it was due to the fact that this kid has been driving for all of 3 years and maybe, possibly he is just simply a bad driver??????.

Mark Richt has always suspended players according to their offenses regardless of the game. I don't know where you got the inane idea that Richt is lax in discipline and will just make the guy run laps. Boling will more than likely be suspended.

Yeah he'll be suspended for the Central Michigan and Georgia Southern games

That's why you schedule cupcake games @ the beginning of the season. Everyone know(shon)s that.

Are you crazy? Since when is Urban Meyer a disciplinarian? Its a running joke that he is light with his punishments all over college football blogs. how many drug tests did Marcus Thomas fail before Urban Meyer HAD to kick him off the team? Meyer says that he his players are from bad backgrounds, and by not kicking him off the team he is giving them a chance when no one else will. Oh right.... not like your football team wouldn't fall into the SEC cellar if you kicked off all the players that got caught with weed. Not to mention firing AK's in the middle of the road (luckily that florida player had recently declared for the draft, so he wasn't a gator anymore, right?) Oh, and UF star Percy Harvin? He was banned from playing high school sports in VA. Although I'm sure Urban Meyer just wanted to give this young man a chance.

There was no way in hell Urban Meyer could keep a kid on the team who used a dead woman's credit card. Thats about as low as one could go. But to say that Mark Richt should follow Meyer's example by kicking Boling off the team? Thats ridiculous. If Richt were to follow Meyer's example on discipline, Richt would side with Boling and say "we'll have to wait and see how this all plays out.. let due process take its course."

Urban Meyer is a joke. http://www.everydayshouldbesaturday.com/2008/02/19/urban-meyer-is-an-atrocious-salesman/

Oh, not again !!! Ellene is, once again, defending the Head Football Coach Mark Richt !!!! You'd better know it !!! Why do you "low lives" assume that there will be no viable consequences regarding DUI/arrest?? Coach Richt, in these circumstances, must, once again, act as a disciplinarian. Running laps following DUI/arrest .. NO WAY !!! Once again, I believe that "monster" known as jealousy rears its ugly head !!! Get a life wherein you, too, will develop positive feelings/self-esteem !!

"I don't know where you got the inane idea that Richt is lax in discipline"

Well dude 10% of games = "ONLY ONE" (math may not have been your strong suit) ONE GAME is in essence NO DISCIPLINE AT ALL FOR A DUI!!!!!! This "guard" should be dropped from the TEAM. UGA is becoming UGANGSTA, but its only natural for Richt to Compete with FSU...

Coach Richt is in Iraq. Starting Right Guard says Police are wrong. Wonderful Clint Boling. The team has been ranked Number 2 in the nation in the preseason College Football News Poll just released, and Phil Steele reports that UGA has the nation's number 1 toughest football schedule 2008. I thought if he said he did not want to take a breath test, that they take him to jail where they give him the test there whether he wants it or not ? Clint Boling is going to be suspended for more than he would have been, had he not tried to also show up the Police. This disrespect of the Authorities is the biggest problem for a Starting Player on the Number 2 team in the nation with the toughest schedule, demonstrated when the Coach is in Iraq. I better hear no more this Summer. Disrespect for the Coach, his team, and Authority. And, on an OL which lost 2 Starters. No excuse.

" 1 toughest football schedule 2008."

So, you are saying that the guy who rates schedules simply spilled coffee over the Georgia Southern entry, washed it away, and then forgot about it.

Georgia Southern, gimmie a break. You may as well play Clarke Central HS.

Mike, are you an idiot or just naïve? It was 1:30 A.M. and Clint (will be referred to as Drunk OL from now on) was weaving all over the road. If Drunk OL was tired or doesn't have the skills to actually drive then he should have submitted to the breathalyzer.

In addition, Drunk OL gave the police plenty of probable cause to pull him over. They should have given him a nightstick to the gullet once or twice to teach the boy a lesson.

As for Brett I am not even going to address his points. It's already been done very well by another poster.

UGANGSTA indeed...very funny

Kick his drunk a$$ off the team. This is just the kind of person who can ruin a good team and a chance at a good season and a championship.
