UGA has a Lake Herrick which is full of water, a large pond at the golf course full of water and some smaller ones, a large pond behind womens sports full of water, and ponds out in cow fields on south Milledge full of water, and the Broad and Oconee Rivers which both pass through UGA owned property, and many smaller ponds in Whitehall forest full of water. UGA should rent a water tank truck with a pump and these sources I have described would be more than enough to water the entire campus. The Golf course has always pulled most of its water right out of the Broad river. There is plenty of water right here on campus for non drinking purposes. Problem solved, no "task force" needed. ..but wait that would be thinking outside the box, something not allowed by the UGA admin.

Call Georgia DNR up and see if they'd have any problems with that outside-the-box solution.

Change Home Games To Away Games

The University of Georgia will be forced to change the remaining games on the football schedule to away games. We must do this if we don't want Athens to look like Malibu next summer. The state of Georgia should have raised the price of water years ago to force conservation and to accrue funds for a new reservoir. This is what you get from Republican government leaders who hate 'government'; bad governance.

You sound like a typical idiot liberal. If you read the first comment to this article you will see that there is plenty of water right here on campus. The grass at sanford is fine and is watered with lake water purchased by private funds from the Athletic Dept. It should be known that liberal tree huggers opposed the creation of Lake Lanier in the first place and that they still oppose the creation of more dams and lakes in GA because it might hurt fish. Libtards care more about fish that humans, go figure. Yeah the water situation is bad but blaming it all on a political party makes you look like a total whining baby ididot. Your entire post sounds ass backwards and makes no sense.

Perhaps the Georgia Center should discontinue its use of automatic flush toilets. Anyone who has ever been in a bathroom stall with one of these toilets can vouch that they never flush just once, but several times instead. It is such a waste of water.
