Tips improve studies abroad

Abstract:
The other day I was waiting for a to-go order at Olive Garden and the young lady sitting beside me dreamingly said, "If Italy is just like this, then I want to go there right now." I didn't want to break it to her, but Italy isn't a whole lot like Olive Garden....

not that you can't meet American students abroad and have a good time, but when I went abroad this was exactly what I tried to keep from doing. if you're in another country, making FRIENDS with the locals should be the goal, not just "meeting" them.

but i have to say, i love how you mentioned cinque terre- i visited there myself and absolutely loved it! the hike really is the most amazing part!
