When was "STD" changed to "STI?" and what does the "I" stand for?

The "I" stands for "infection"...It does kinda describe it more accurately, I guess.

STD changed to STI a few years ago because of the stigmatism associated with the word "disease." Most STIs are treatable and therefore are considered illnesses, not diseases.

This article was great! I wasn't aware that EC was offered and the health center, and thought I had explicitly read on the website that it was not available. I'm glad this piece addresses some of those misconceptions.

Vaginosis Home Cure

It is not unknown for bacterial vaginosis to develope in pre pubescent girls. Always remember to wipe well and correctly after any bowel movements to help stop the spread of bacteria. Always wipe from front to back when cleaning, it may seem so simple but you would be amazed at how bad some peoples habits are.
