Can't help feeling disappointed that some of our DAWGS are making poor choices which negatively impact their lives. Hopefully, they will learn from their situations because they each deserve an opportunity to exonerate their actions. I am incensed by comments of individuals describing these athletes as "thugs" and "pampered because they are athletes!!" We ALL have made mistakes as we travelled through the years of our lives, if we're honest with ourselves/others !! This "judgemental, holier than thou, unforgiving" attitude makes me sick !! The personal "self-fulfilling prophesy" remains active. An individual, who admits his/her faults and attempts to correct their mistakes but is constantly subjected to negative word/actions-- eventually, their feelings of self-worth are so immensely damaged, their mindset is "why try, everyone says I'm a loser !!"

Most of the athletes and students at UGA are caring souls who donate much time/energy to actively provide positive actions in their community, e.g. visiting patients in hospitals, being mentors as needed,etc. Coach Richt encourages the athletes whom he coaches and other individuals,including his family, to "give back" to the community. He not only "talks the talk, but walks the walk,too!!" The recent trip to the Mid-east is one of the many ways he acts as a role model for us all !!

'Nuf said !!! I am preparing myself for the "naysayers !!"
