UGA VI did his duty! He patroled the sidelines with a fierce
presence and ferocious demeanor and his teams responded with the winningest record of them all. God bless the Seilers and all the UGA's. RIP big fella. You're with Wally Butts and Erk Russell now. Our 2008 squad will make you proud.

With all due respect for the family, UGA VI was not buried at the stadium because he was a family pet but because he was the beloved mascot of the Georgia Bulldogs. Those who wished to attend the ceremony and pay their respects should have been allowed to do so.

I agree...they could have sold a small number of tickets and donated all the proceeds to an animal charity in his name. Oh well. RIP Uga.

I was in Savannah over the weekend, and the only time it rained was Friday evening. Savannah, Georgia, and the whole bulldog nation cried!
