I'd like to know the source for Lindsay Oberst writing that "Ralph Lauren noticed the tartan of Furman University and developed a line of clothing using the pattern". As a graduate of Furman and the originator of the Furman tartan I would like to pass that information along to the folks at Furman for publication. Many thanks, Frank R. Shaw, Class of '61
