It is not known that Schwannomatosis is a genetically caused disease, any more than it is known that any cancer is genetically caused. This is speculated (false) dogma of the medical orthodoxy of the U.S. which has failed to solve the cancer problem after the squandering of multi billions of public and private dollars for almost a half century. They have failed because they had negligently failed to read the many scientific papers and experiments of Otto Warburg, M.D., Ph.D. (1883-1970) in Germany, who discovered, based on experiments and facts, that all cancer is caused by the wrong energy supply; namely, fermentation or oxygen deficiency to cells, including nerve cells (neurons) or cells in and around nerves. These cells must be continually supplied with adequate amounts of oxygen just like any other cells in the human body, and when they are deprived of it, the cells which do not die, switch to running on glucose in the absence of oxygen (fermentation) and become malignant. It is respiratory impairment which is the cause of cancer because the respiratory system is what supplies the energy needs (oxygen) to every one of the 100 trillion or so cells of the human body. Genetics has nothing to do with this. That it does is pure speculation without any scientific proof. The cancer generals have cause and effect mixed up; gene mutations come from the wrong energy supply. The results of Otto Warburg have been confirmed by many other laboratories world wide, but the non scientists of the U.S. deny it because they don't want to believe the truth since that would impede the money machine of the cancer industry and the drug companies. Here is a recent book documenting this: "The Hidden Story of Cancer" by Brian Peskin, E.E. and Amid Habib, M.D., Pinnacle Press, Houston, 2006. This book has a whole chapter and appendix documenting that cancer is not genetically caused. Cancer is not hundreds of deseases as falsely claimed by the non scientists of the medical orthodoxy of the U.S., but one disease; oxygen deficiency to living cells. The best way to deal with cancer is to prevent it in the first place by recognizing the discoveries of Otto Warburg and acting on them, not waiting around centuries for the cancer generals to find some expensive drug which likely kills more patients than it saves.

As a post script to the above comment, it must be noted that many of the so-called "scholars" and "scientists" of today, 2007, including those at UGA and beyond its borders, are not truly scientists or scholars at all, but frauds, who accept the false and misleading statements of other frauds about the seminal discoveries of the genius scientist Otto Warburg, M.D., Ph.D. These non scientists and non scholars patently violate the very rules they purport to follow, violate the scientific method, because they can't be bothered or are too lazy to read some 500+ scientific papers of Dr. Warburg in German, and also because some of them deeply resent him for remaining in Germany all his life, but they wouldn't admit this in public. In other words, they have allowed their personal religious views to get in the way of science and truth. I have even asked a number of these individuals how many of his scientific papers they have read? With a recent exception of one in another state who admitted she had not read any or heard of Dr. Warburg, most of them provide no reply. This is a coded way of saying they have not read any of his papers but do not have the courage to admit it to a gullible and unwitting public, which, often assumes, falsely, that due to their academic "credentials", they are aware of this seminal work on cancer and other areas too. Dr. Warburg was a genius level scientist, far and away above any living today, and was nominated for no less than three Nobel Prizes in three different fields of medicine and physiology. Three of his pupils also actually were awarded Nobel Prizes in Medicine. Dr. Warburg was nominated for the first cancer prize in 1926 but unfortunately that prize was awarded that year to Figiger whose work was later shown to be incorrect. Dr. Warburg was actually awarded the prize in 1931 for discovery of the respiratory enzyme. He was also nominated again in 1944 for yet again different work but Hitler's decree prevented German citizens from receiving Nobel prizes and hence prevented that prize from being actually awarded that year 1944. Dr. Warburg's Father (Emil Warburg) was a distinguished physicist and held the chair of physics at Berlin. He published a textbook that went through 22 editions! He taught his son (Otto) the rules of science and the rules of physics and the scientific and Otto followed those rules 24 hours a day throughout his entire life. This is in contrast with most "scientists" today, who not only are evidently ignorant of the rules, but disregard them most of the time at their whim. Many examples could be provided to prove this statement; for example, consider the "Summerlin painted mouse affair" of an M.D. at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New YOrk (1974), who painted spots on the backs of laboratory animals in an effort to fool his supervisor and the public at large about cancer research. If this individual had done something like this in Warburg's laboratory in Germany, I hate to think what his fate would have been. But as it was here in the U.S, virtually nothing happened to him or his supervisor at MSKCC! This episode is documented in the book "The Cancer Industry" by Ralph W. MOss, 1996, 1989 and 1980 "(The Cancer Syndrome)" Suppose a mechanic failed to repair your car, over and over again. But he continually expected to be paid anyway. How long would you continue to believe his lies? Why then, do you and most people continue to believe the lies of the cancer generals of the war on cancer in Washington, D.C.? They have been lying to the public so long that cancer is genetically caused, they are like a teenager who had repeatedly lied to his parents. Obviously they now have a difficult time with the truth. In fact, most of them have been lying so long they no longer even know what is the truth and what is myth and fiction. A gullible and unwitting public is easily fooled due to total failure of "higher" education to instill critical thinking and critical analysis in the brains of college graduates. Hence the big lie of the cancer generals and war on cancer continue, year in and year out, decade in and decade out, century in and century out because fools, dupes we elect continue to force public money be paid for corrupt research and medical quackery.
