Well if this keeps up, Coach Richt will have to have an on site judge at all his practices. What in the WORLD is going on with these football players? First, they are all innocent until proven guilty, but why in the world are they putting themselves in jeopardy and in harm's way as far as being arrested? When a player is recruited are there no checks on any pending legal matters before the dotted line is signed? Sorry, but no matter HOW good you can play football, if you're going to spend part of your time behind bars you shouldn't be in Athens expecting to play football for UGA. It IS possible though that the license suspension was done on the computer and that Caleb King never got personal service. And it is also possible that the moped did not require a license to drive it. That being said, could he possibly be convicted of driving with a suspended license if he's not driving a vehicle that even requires a license? Until Scooter Libby, I never thought that a person could be convicted of a crime if a crime was not committed. But these days who knows. Come on DAWGS! We need you on the FIELD, not in jail or on probation for some childish misbehavior.
If you can't behave, stay home, let someone who wants to play and knows how to conduct himself have your slot. A note to the police: not everything you see is a "crime".. It almost seems as if they are teeing off now on athletes for supposed infractions which would go unnoticed in others. Let's keep this fair.
Coach Richt has more important things to do than to try to keep up with criminal cases against his players.
