Abstract:
With numerous Chinese, Japanese and Thai restaurants dotting the local cuisine scene, it was only a matter of time before someone thought to add Vietnamese fare into the mix.

And that someone happens to be freshman An Nguyen, an international affairs major from Marietta....

I will never go to this place again. I found hair. ugh. And my plate was not clean, dried bits of food. I also heard a woman yelling loudly at a coworker from the kitchen area. Just a creepy restaurant.

So, I guess you understand Vietnamese, because you obviously know what the folks in the kitchen were saying to each other. It couldn't possibly have been anything other than abuse, because there can't be any other explanation for the yelling.

So glad there are so many people who know more than just English in this town.

I went there expecting a real Vietnamese restaurant like the ones I frequent in Atlanta, because that is what I had read.

Sadly, no, it's not. They only have SOUPS on the menu and they only have 7 or 8 soups to choose from, and ALL of those soups have meat. Hello? Do you know where you are? This is Athens, with a large vegetarian community.

My primary complaint is the complete lack of selection. They should change the name to SEVEN SOUPS because that's what they have. In contrast, the authentic Vietnamese restaurants in Atlanta have pages of selections and much more than just soup.

Well, to be fair Miss Nguyen, they are a new restaurant and they DID say they would be adding more as they studied customer interest. They also said they were going for authentic, and pho seems to traditionally have meat in it.
Still, I'm sure there are plenty "traditional Vietnamese" vegetarian foods, so why don't you give them a few suggestions next time?

Um, hello, ever thinking of just asking them to NOT put meat in their soups, if that's what you like? I do it all the time when I go to another Vietnamese noodle restaurant.
