Hodawgs prime for regionals

Abstract:
Although Frisbee is popular on Myers quad and other campus locales, the women's ultimate Frisbee club team plays for more than recreation. The team refers to itself as the Hodawgs. "Ho" stands for horizontal, team members said, the position of a player outstretched for a Frisbee....

Hodawgs? Really? I think I would have picked a name less connotatively demeaning than Hodawgs.

"Ho" also stands for a offense (the Horizontal Stack) which is, on occasion, used by the Hodawgs.

Please! Horizontal? Come on, you are straining our Suspension of Disbelief. HODawgs, indeed. Admit it, the name is obviously a rif on Whore, as in ho, you know. OH, sorry, WHORizontal.
