Athens Power Yoga offers lessons while donating to charity

Abstract:
Every college student knows that the start of the school year can be a time of worry, stress and high expenses. The ladies at Athens Power Yoga have found a solution to share with the Athens community.

Kendall Kookogey, owner of Athens Power Yoga, and her yoga teachers-in-training are offering pay-what-you-can yoga lessons every Monday and Wednesday night to anyone who wants to come and see what yoga is all about....

Wake up to the fact that all new age yoga is misrepresenting, exploiting, commercializing what is truly Yoga/Hinduism (the two are inseparable.)The various Yogas are undeniably the progressive religious/spiritual practices within Hinduism to 'yoke'/yoga Atmana (individual soul) with Brahman (soul source)...basic Hindu tenet [goal of these religious practices.] Hatha Yoga, often mis-referred to as just 'yoga' or marketing terms like 'power yoga,' are Hindu worshipful postures. Yoga/Hinduism is a specific religion that is not "universal" and does not, as some new age cliches go..."fits into any religion"...just one of many examples; in Monotheism there is no 'yoking' with Yahweh, Jesus or Allah...these "Creators" are forever separate from their "creation." Below are some yoga facts to help the discerning student end the cognitive dissonance contained in spurious "power yoga", certified yoga teachers,yogis and yoginis.
