If UGA "lost" that one recruit we didn't need him - as Coach Richt is quoted as saying, "If they don't want to be here we don't want them", maybe a slight paraphrase of his words. Not everybody is cut out to be a Bulldog and as we see each year, some of those who sign really don't have their lives ready to step into adulthood so we lose a few here and there. Hopefully all of these recruits will understand that they are playing out someone else's dream and that they should conduct themselves as responsible young men both on the field and off. Alcohol takes its toll year after year, but some never learn from the mistakes of the others. Alcohol will take you completely out of your life plan, especially at such a young age; the UGA coaches should not have to be spending time bailing players out of jail and calling parents to tell them that they "baby boy" has just been arrested. Step up, be a man and live life to its fullest as a Bulldog. The adoration of several hundred thousand fans and the subsequent ability to step into a professional job will more than make up what you think you might lose in "enjoyment" of a few drinks. Congratulations to the recruiters for putting together what seems to be a very capable team. Now, let's win 'em all, never expect a loss. BUT at the end of the day, it is only a game...

Two things. We already have 4 scholarship TE (3 of which have a lot of potential - Chandler is good, not great) that would probably be ahead of Allen, so why waste a scholarship on someone that won't play. Second, we will have a very limited amount of availabe scholarships next year (around 15), so we will benefit from this situation next year. Overall, we did a great job recruiting! GO DAWGS!!
