On the bus, a little etiquette goes long way

Abstract:
Fifteen minutes: the amount of time allotted between classes.

Most students walk to class and manage to arrive on time. However, if your classes are on opposite ends of the campus, walking may not be the most efficient way to travel - especially in Athens' sweltering heat....

Thanks so much for revisiting the etiquette of bus riding! I never knew creating that group on Facebook would lead to so many great responses and awareness to riding Campus Transit buses.

However, I do have one criticism...your timing. Because this article went to press on August 7, 2008, many of the freshmen (who need the tips the most) were not even on campus. Had this article ran on the first day of classes, or even during the first week, I believe we could have avoided many more "dummy" questions. I just hope that this year's freshman (that are supposed to be setting records with their academic talents) have equally as much common sense talents to educate themselves on something as simple on riding a bus effectively AND efficiently.

Thanks again!

I thank you for the opportunity to share a portion of my moments in time with future generations.
