Staying Nameless Dawg

posted 7/09/09 @ 6:06 AM EST

Oh GREAT! This is just what I like to hear of when corruption and fraud is hanging over us like a big dawg.
What's the reason that he was not banned from working @ a UGA business office immediately?! Sounds as if no one was concerned or really cared what he abscounded. This is
very sorry news coming from the university.

Trusting?

I'm confused. Why does "Tom Jackson" say Mr. Mullen is not in a 'position of trust' yet the letter from the Assoc Registrar regarding the illegal download indicated that Mr. Mullen was reminded that he is "a staff member in a position of trust" and should act accordingly. Also, the supporting documents indicate that UGA was informed of this plan to plead in late Feb. Why was he not terminated at that time? Why did UGA continue to pay him until May 12th with this knowledge. Since his 'duties were suspended' and his access to seemingly all databases was denied, what did he do for those several weeks? Shred documents? Watch the movie he downloaded?

I sent this story to the AJC and also to the Lt. Governor. Hopefully someone will be held accountable for this gross negligence.

This is not news! It happens everyday with much more serious crimes.

Almost everytime someone is brutally murdered or raped or a child kidnapped or whatever, the first question is not why the perpetrator did it ..... but based on his voluminous rap sheet why was he LOOSE in society in the first place!!!

This will never change until (just like police officers) prosecutors, judges and parole board members can be sued for grossly inappropriate actions.
