Another "died of accidental drug overdose" waiting to happen. Refusing to take a BA blood test won't help his case, in fact it will hurt him because he definitely will have to give up his license for a period. But that probably won't stop him from driving - it rarely does until someone is killed ...

ehh... wrong chief... turns out the stuff got dismissed... turns out everything you read in the red and black with all of it's "journalistic integrity" wasn't precise... turns out the judicial system, which your quote clearly demonstrates you know so much about, didn't think to highly of the charges... but since you clearly know everything why don't you riddle me this? why hasn't the actor in the case had to pay a single fine, spend one night in jail, or meet with one probation officer? hmm, and i answer, maybe because you blindly followed what you read in a non-affiliated school newspaper... oh, and who would be "killed" by a MOPED that travels at a top speed of 30 mph? Get real...

Everything you have written operates under the assumption that everything you have read is accurate. Do you get your "jollies" by vilifying people you've never met, who you know nothing about? Do you have nothing better to do than post online comments to an article published in a student newspaper that has no actual affiliation to the school it covers? What kind of sick person writes that someone is an "accidental drug overdose waiting to happen", where the person in question's friends and family can read it. That is reckless and irresponsible, considering you know nothing about the case other than what you read in the widely acclaimed and renowned Red and Black. I hope you feel good about yourself. I hope you feel like a big person, I hope you're happy with what you see in the mirror every morning. This article did irreperable damage to my life and reputation. There's just one catch, it wasn't true... I hope you NEVER find yourself in a situation where this kind of thing happens to you, and you have to fight to clear your name. I wouldn't wish it on anyone, not even someone as pathetic as you. Oh yeah, did it ever occur to your brilliant mind that someone might refuse a BAC because they felt uncomfortable about the way they were being treated?

Assuming hes a first offender he will get 48 hours in jail, 2 years probation, a dui class, and a fine under 500$...basically a slap on the wrist for multiple drug felonies. Typical Athens courts.

Ha Rob T, this man should only get a slap on the wrist. If only everyone who drove intoxicated would choose a moped, then the world would be much safer for the rest of us. And what a danger to society he was with all those prescription drugs not in their original container... Not all felonies are created equal.

You posted a comment that I actually appreciated. At the very least you used your head to evaluate the article. I'm responding to all posts now that, after having to wait a year for my day in court, all charges have been dismissed and I have finally cleared my name. Thank you for not being an animalistic jackass like the others.

Lol... A beer does not raise your alcohol level to the danger limit where you can get arrested by the police... If the police arrested him, well, he drank a few more... my guess.

My guess, a single beer might raise you to a .009... Let me dumb it down for you; that's almost one tenth the legal limit, and that's what I blew according to the police report that is ATTACHED to the article you posted on... Maybe, and forgive me if this is above your astute intellect, there wasn't justification for an arrest... Maybe that's why the judge threw out all the charges... Just a thought...

If you are a professor at UGA where do you get off talking about a student like that? Moreover, if UGA is admitting "idiot moron dumbasses" what does that indicate about your job at said university? Furthermore, what is so funny about the scooter aspect of the story? Would it have been better if I were a priveledged student driving a big SUV? Your quote leads one to believe that, on a scooter, one runs less of a risk of getting pulled over. Or that one doesn't have to obey the same trafic laws on a scooter. Or maybe that it's harder to see a scooter? Your comment would have made more sense if the story read, "student on invisible scooter"... But it didn't, and all of the charges against me were thrown out, but that must have been dumb luck huh? I might be a dumbass but you're a jackass. A professor fomenting on a trivial and fictitious article nearly a year after it was published? Yeah I'm the idiot, but I feel fairly certain your students become exponentially dumber the more they listen to you. Doesn't feel so good when someone writes derogatory comments about you in a public forum and you have no control over it, does it?
