This is absolutely disgusting, and the fact that she wasn't charged with felony counts blows my mind.

Hopefully someone will give her the same respect she gave those puppies.

My thoughts exactly. Council got off way too easily.

Unfortunately, that's about the sentence any and all animal abusers get. Animal abuse is still considered a misdemeanor in some states, but not in Georgia. There is NO excuse for the DA to not charge her with felony counts and let her plead out to them (with some sort of jail time). The plea is insane to me considering child abuse and assault are both felonies that would get someone jail time, and I rank hitting an animal (especially puppies) almost as high as I rank hitting a child; both are helpless in such situations and have little to no voice.

The woman should be ashamed, but I feel that karma is a bitch, and she will get what's coming to her at some point in time.

Dear R&B,
Do you know the past tense of the word "plead?" I'm sure you'll be using it a lot so let's try to learn it now.

Though not as common, pled is valid as the past tense of plead.

Yes, I know it is, but initially it read "plead" as past tense, not "pled." Although last I heard, I believe AP prefers "pleaded."

Perhaps the univerity should make use of a restraining order, to keep her away from our school mascot!

In all seriousness though, what compels a person to physically harm a living, breathing creature? Wouldn't it have been just as easy to set a box outside of Wal-mart with 'free puppies' on it?

Ok, hold on. She killed puppies, which is sick and twisted and grotesque. But some of you advocate her getting beaten to death? Crushed from above? She deserves a harsher sentence, that's fine. But death?

No, she should be locked up in a mental institution for this...clearly she has issues

I don't have a problem with killing puppies, but not for sport. If you're going to kill the puppies, don't let the meat go to waste...EAT THE PUPPIES.

Just Punishments

In today's post Michael Vick saga society it is becoming increasingly alright to mame, beat, and kill dogs. The punishment some might say should be equal to the crime and "ok" says we should increase the fine or put the violators in jail longer. Personally I don't advocate killing the perpetrator but severe physical violence is in the realm of possibilites. Beating the perp half to death several times with adequate time to heal in between beatings is quite reasonable. Plus if you kill them they wouldn't learn anything. It's all about rehabilitation.

Beating 7 puppies to death deserves jail time, compulsory psychiatric evaluation and treatment, and an even bigger fine. The community service should involve taking care of animals. This student is disgusting.
