The first full weekend back to Athens yielded two dozen alcohol-related arrests.

Witnesses reported seeing a woman streaking Friday near the Arch on Broad Street.

Chris Gerrard, a visitor to Athens, reported seeing the woman jump out of the passenger cab of a large truck clothed and run with her arms flailing. After running she then collapsed near the road. She later stood up and continued running.

He described her mood as frantic, disoriented and delusional.

A few minutes later he saw the woman again near the Arch, but this time she was unclothed. The police responded and a teller at a local bank reported that she was taken away in an ambulance.

As reported in the Athens-Clarke County booking log this weekend, arrests included:

• Daniel Kinley, 20, was arrested and charged with carrying a concealed weapon on campus early Saturday. He was booked at 1:37 a.m. with manufacturing a fake ID, pedestrian under the influence, underage possession of alcohol, two felony counts of weapon on school property and two felony counts of carrying a concealed weapon. He posted a total bond of $13,250.

• Derrick William Thomas, 22, was charged with public intoxication and obstruction of a law enforcement officer at 4 a.m. Sunday. He is the online editor for The Red & Black. Thomas posted bond at $1,250.
