Fresh off a season opening victory against Mercer last Friday, the No. 17 soccer team heads west to take on No. 18 BYU tonight and will battle with the University of Utah on Sunday.
This will be the first trip away from Athens for the team, who is lead by junior forward Carrie Patterson.
Wednesday, Patterson was named to the pre-season All-American Team by SoccerBuzz Magazine, Freshman Ashley Miller received the team's Newcomer of the Week Award and senior defender Kristin Garman earned Georgia Player of the Week honors as awarded by head coach Patrick Baker.
Miller's two-goal performance against Mercer was the first time a freshman had scored multiple goals in a regular season game since Caroline Simpson's hat trick against Wisconsin last season.
