Yoga was first introduced to America in the 19th century, but it wasn't until the 1960s, when The Beatles' George Harrison became fascinated with Indian philosophy, that yoga boomed and became a popular activity. Since then, people nationwide have become interested in learning and studying the art of yoga.
Deaf Judges wants to see you in your underwear - well, sort of. The local hip-hop band, consisting of Produceman (Judge Fear), Rorshak (Judge Mortis), Louie Larceny (Judge Fear) and DJ/producer DJ Cubenza (Judge Death), is headlining a pajama party at the 40 Watt tonight.

GIRLS Album For the past few weeks, I couldn't get away from the San Francisco pop duo, Girls, the latest indie media darlings. They've been super-hyped - blogged about or put on the radio almost everywhere. But there is something about the band that grabs me and doesn't let me go.
Although some high-gravity beers are consumed in interest of potency, some offer outstanding flavor in addition to expedited inebriation. The Urthel Brewery's "Hop-It" combines a plethora of hops, tropical fruits and spicy Belgian yeast. Upon pouring it out of the bottle and into a tulip glass, one notices a gold and amber color, as well as heavy traces of foam on the rim of the glass.
BRIGHT STAR They say to fully appreciate beauty you have to experience the grotesque. Director Jane Campion, the only woman to ever win the Palme d'Or at Cannes Film Festival, gives us a heavy dose of both. "Bright Star" is based on the relationship between Romantic poet John Keats and Fanny Brawne, played respectively by Ben Whishaw and Abbie Cornish.
