A wrap-up of the week's ups and downs
How else do you explain an unranked team beating a team in the Top 10? I mean, except for when we beat Tennessee. That was for real.

Head 'em up, move 'em
out. Myers Hall residents gotta find a new place to live next
semester due to the perfect middle-of-the-year timing to start
renovations of the dorm.
What's next? Redoing half of
the stadium seats in the middle of football season?

Is it hot in here? Gym
Dog head coach Suzanne Yoculan survived a "Celebrity Roast"
Thursday night to raise money for charity.
The highlight of the night was
Swim Dogs head coach Jack Bauerle stepped up to the mic in
nothing but his speedo. Hey, at least it wasn't a leotard-clad
Michael Adams.

Go ahead, ID me.
Businesses can now have their licenses revoked if they get caught
serving alcohol to minors. This results in a crackdown on fake IDs
in the Athens' area.
We guess all those freshmen
will actually have to laminate the pieces of paper they use to get
into Uptown Lounge.

Drug money. A
University researcher received a $7.3 million grant to study drug
abuse. At least he won't have to pay for guinea pigs. We're sure
there's plenty of people on campus who would gladly
volunteer.

Selling you your
cellular. Safe Campuses Now has distributed 25 cell phones
to students that can only dial 911 as another safety precaution on
campus.
SunCom generously donated the phones. Can anyone say
marketing scheme? Hey, we call 'em how we see 'em.

Quote of the week.
"I've always said I could sell tickets to a cage match between Suzanne and Sarah."
-- Georgia Associate Athletics Director for ticket sales Freddie
Jones said at the "Celebrity Roast" of coach Suzanne Yoculan and
Alabama coach Sarah Patterson.
