A bomb threat at the Student Learning Center was called in to the University Police at 8:10 Monday morning, according to University Police Chief Jimmy Williamson, forcing the closure of the building.
Police canines were sent into the building at 9:03 a.m. The building was reopened a little after 10:30.

Why is there an alert system if no one is going to use it.

Because Michael Adams doesnt want to use it unless there is a real emergency. This was just a threat and they had found no bomb so no reason to alarm the whole campus and alert the national news media and create a huge frenzy. (Continued…)

There needs to be a system to notify students and faculty that a building has been shut down due to what ever the reason(like a water main break or a bomb threat) and a notification that the building has been re-opened at such time and classes will resume. (Continued…)

Nah because that would make too much sense. hell yes they should alert us every time theres a threat; at least to stay away from the area and that classes are cancelled. (Continued…)

I think that if it was enough of a threat for police and bomb dogs to investigate the building, I would have liked to have been alerted as to that fact! Good job morons. (Continued…)

All i have to say, is how much more of a real does does it get when a bomb could be involved. they should of used the alart system.
