Dancing raises $300,000 for health care

Marathon contributes more than monetary means

Students at this weekend's Dance Marathon dressed up in costumes, enjoyed a lineup of entertainment acts and raised more than $300,000 for children's healthcare. The marathon, now in its 13th year, raised $321,390.26 for Children's Healthcare of Atlanta hospital, about $20,000 more than last year's total. … 2 Comments

University worker killed after hit by car

Police are investigating a wreck early Wednesday morning that fatally injured a University worker. Edward Hull, 20, an East Campus Village Summit dining hall worker, died Thursday evening after a graduate student hit him from behind on Riverbend Parkway just before 6:30 a.

Health center awarded accreditation

The University's Health Center was awarded accreditation for all services, the highest recognition for health care organizations. A three-day unannounced review was conducted by the Joint Commission. The review found the health center in full compliance. Doctoral student, who loved the outdoors, dies

A University doctoral student who loved the outdoors died last week. Katherine Kerstetter was working on a degree in recreation and leisure studies, wrote Program Coordinator Corey Johnson in a message to students.
