Women's tennis tallies another comeback win

For the second time this season, the junior from Niagara Falls, Canada rallied from behind to give the No. 10 Georgia women's tennis team a 4-3 win - this time over Vanderbilt (16-4, 6-4 SEC) in Nashville.
Dancevic, down 4-1 in the third set, came back to beat Taka Bertrand 3-6, 6-1, 7-6 (7-4).
"It was a great comeback, being down 4-1 in the third set," head coach Jeff Wallace said. "She played bigger, started serving bigger, hit bigger shots and overpowered the other girl in the end."
Georgia also defeated Kentucky 5-2 on Friday in Lexington.
Dancevic's first comeback win came against Georgia Tech on Feb. 23.
The win over Vanderbilt keeps Georgia (15-4, 8-2 SEC) in a tie for second place in the SEC East with Tennessee.

Softball breaks winning streak
The Georgia softball team had its 16-game winning streak snapped by Tennessee this weekend as the Volunteers swept the Bulldogs in Knoxville.Tennessee won the first game of Saturday's doubleheader 6-4. The Bulldogs put themselves in the position to plate more runs, but failed to capitalize leaving eight runners on base.
The second game on Saturday saw the Bulldogs struggle offensively and defensively as they fell to the Volunteers 9-0. Tennessee scored five runs in the bottom of the first and never looked back.
The third game of the series, on Sunday, ended in a 5-1 loss for Georgia.
Head coach Lu Harris-Champer was disappointed with the series, but says her team will bounce back.
"I know we can play better," Harris-Champer said. "I think our team has a lot of heart and as we continue to compete, we will make strides."
Georgia is now 35-11 on the season with an 8-6 record in the SEC conference.

Track and field earns high marks
Georgia's track and field teams tallied 13 NCAA regional-qualifying marks during the Jim Click Invitational in Tucson, Ariz., on Saturday.The Bulldog men scored 137 points and finished third at the meet, as the Lady Bulldogs took fourth with 116 points.
Sophomore javelin thrower Chris Hill threw a regional qualifying mark of 244 feet, 2 inches.
Six more of Georgia's regional marks also came from Georgia throwers as Nate Rolfe won his second-straight meet of the year.
David Schiedt and Kyle Helf also locked down regional marks in the hammer throw.
Senior Wes Fuller cleared 16 feet 10.75 inches to win the pole vault.
