Several members of Georgia men's golf team are enjoying success on the amateur golf circuit this summer.
Michael Green and Harris English both posted top 10 finishes at the prestigious Southeastern Amateur, which was played in Columbus, Ga.
Green, a rising senior from Augusta, posted three rounds in the 60's to go 5-under-par on the weekend and finish in seventh place. English went 1-under-par to finish in a tie for 10th.
Rising senior Brian Harman played well recently, notching a 14th place finish at the 47th annual Northeast Amateur Invitational in Rumford, R.I., a few weeks ago. Harman had weekend rounds of 67 and 66 on the par 70 layout of Wannamoisett Country Club to record a four-day total of 2-over-par.
Looking to build on his teammate's summer success will be Adam Mitchell on June 28-29.
Mitchell was one of eight collegiate players from the United States selected to play in the Palmer Cup at the Glasgow Golf Club in Ayrshire, Scotland. The Palmer Cup is a Ryder Cup style competition pitting the best American collegiate players against the best European collegiate players.
Mitchell will look to help the U.S. build on their 6-4-1 record in this competition.
