Season tickets for the 2008-09 Georgia men's and women's basketball teams go on sale Saturday (Aug. 30) and can be ordered online over the weekend. The also will be available by telephone or in person at the Athletic Association's ticket office beginning next Tuesday (Sept. 2).

The men's season ticket packages are $255 for the general public and $150 for faculty/staff and include a reserved seat ticket to 16 regular-season home games, as well as potential third- and fourth-round games of the Preseason NIT.

In addition, this Sunday, Aug. 31, is the deadline for contributing to the Basketball Enhancement Fund, which ensures contributors a claim to the best seats in Stegeman Coliseum during the men's basketball home schedule. Donors are also awarded benefits such as preferred parking, based on their annual giving level.

The women's package is just $25 features 13 home dates at Stegeman Coliseum, as well as a Dec. 22 matchup with Clemson at the Arena at Gwinnett Center in Duluth, Ga.

The Lady Bulldogs will host Alabama State on Saturday, Nov. 15 at Noon in their home opener, while the Bulldogs' initial home date is Friday, Nov. 14 against USC-Upstate at 7:30 p.m.

The Georgia men come off an historic season in 2008, one in which coach Dennis Felton's team captured the school's second-ever SEC Tournament championship. The resulting automatic NCAA Tournament bid was marked the program's return to the "Big Dance" for the first time since 2002. Just two
starters from that squad are back, but they are joined by five key returnees, as well as six highly-regarded newcomers.

"I'm really excited about our home schedule this season," Felton said. "It's a schedule that ranks with the very best in the country, in terms of difficulty and challenge. It's also one that should give our fans a terrific return for their investment. All of us are looking forward to building upon the SEC Championship last March."

The Lady Bulldogs return three starters and five additional letterwinners from last year's 23-10 team that reached the second round of the NCAA Tournament. Five 2008 NCAA Tournament teams will visit Stegeman Coliseum this winter: East Tennessee State on Dec. 1, Xavier on Dec. 30, Vanderbilt
on Jan. 22, Auburn on Jan. 29 and LSU on Feb. 19.

Georgia will also serve as the host institution for NCAA Women's Tournament games, slated for March 21-23 in The Arena at Gwinnett Center. All-session passes will be on sale, $30 for adults and $20 for children. Fans who buy UGA women¹s basketball season tickets will receive priority seating assignments for these NCAA Tournament games.

"We have seen a steady and significant growth in our season ticket base over the past several season, which is extremely exciting," head coach Andy Landers said. "Our season ticket package remains one of the best values on college athletics, and it's encouraging that more and more fans are taking advantage of this opportunity to follow our program. I'm optimistic we will
set a season ticket record for the fourth consecutive year."
